NEW HOME NOVY DOM

New Home, Novy Dom in Reni Ukraine

Barnens hopp have bought a big house in Reni Ukraine. Our purpose is to run a Prijut for poor and abuse children in the area.
The new house has 10 rooms and a big kitchen.

Victoria (new director) and Sergej (also work for us with the street team ) lives in the house.

Svetlana Nikolaevna is the new teacher. She helps children with extra lessons in the Novy Dom. Every day we have children coming to the house for studies.
In June we start with the repairmen of the second floor, when everything is ready we are able to take care of 16  (living) and 8 children for extra studies.

Our two street team is walking at Renis dark street every evening and night helping and supporting children’s at the street.

    Our CTC (hotline) for children is working 24 hour per day.

Renis is 70 km from Black Sea. 300 km from Odessa and 70 km from the Black Sea.
This summer we will take around 30 children for summer camp in Black Sea.

Barnens hopp have a very nice co operation with Social service and the police athorites in the area.

For two weeks ago the militsia called us and asked for help with a 16 years old boy. He has lived under the church for a long time. Abused, hungry and dirty. He is now living in our New home.

During our last visit (December and January 07/08) we had the honour to welcome Ludmilla Kordun , Gena Samborskaya and Iryna Sidorjak from Kiev
Ludmilla Kordun is president of Children and invalids right in Ukraine ( Ludmilla have also been a member of Verkohvna Rada, the Ukrainian government for a long time), Iryna Sidorjak lawyer and Genya Samborskaya – the head of the All-Ukrainian Charity Fund ”For dignity of man”


We arrange a meeting with the Administration in Reni, police authorities, social service etc.

The information meeting where held in the house of Admin.

We have the possibility to show everyone the movie about children’s abuse, trafficking, children right etc. It was a big opportunity for us to informed all authorities about Barnens hopps activities in the area.

Our friends from Kiev will visit Novy Dom in summer again (2008)
